Supervision Approach -

Professional Development:

  • Alliance based - developmental approach to professional goals (meeting the supervisee where they are at and advancing skill set to become more successful with their clients). This addresses counter transference and interference of personal beliefs into counseling sessions.

  • Interventions - provide behavioral health interventions to proposed client population and mental health disorder. Advancing skill set by educating professionals on different therapy techniques to better serve their client's individual needs.

  • Administration - provide insight and overview of documentation that includes assessments, evaluations, progress notes, and charting. Focusing on program management when applicable.

  • Ethical standards - guidance with keeping licensure, following rules and regulations, and best practices for clients served. Provides supervision documentation to monitor progress and support appropriate hours when audited or applying for independent licensure.

Personal Development:

  • Personal Goal Development - addressing personal goals that may impact their professional development and gains insight into their professional style of counseling clients.

  • Organization Management - provide insight into accommodating demands and requirements of the profession and how to personally manage this so that the supervisee feels supported and has adequate time to grow.

  • Life Balance - managing the growing demands and changes in the profession and how to manage a life balance that supports your passion by providing adequate self-care.
